The essence of Leone Blu
Located in the noble floor of a beautiful historical building in the center of Catania, the B & B Il Leone Blue (The Blue Lion) is renowned for the architectural and artistic elegance of its rooms and the sophisticated simplicity of its decor.
The B & B name is inspired by the lion depicted in the heraldic symbol of the noble family of Aragon of Sicily, the Acquaviva family. Our guests, in fact, can admired at the entrance of the house a vexillum, carved in high relief, in which you can clearly see the shape of a tower, a crown and a lion that stands for "valiant protector" of the family and that, in its original version, is just blue.
Just five minutes’ walk from Piazza Duomo, the palace of the Clerics, the Cathedral of Sant'Agata, the baroque Via dei Crociferi, the Greek-Roman Theater, and many other beautiful sites of historical interest, the B & B The Blue Lions overlooks on one of the most important monuments of the City, the Ursino Castle.
The Castle at night turns into the center of Catania’s nightlife
Thought as symbol of the imperial power, this manor, whose name derives from Castrum Sinus or the "Gulf Castle" was built in the 13th Century by Frederick II of Svevia and today it houses the most important museum of Catania, the Civic Museum. Inescapable destination for tourists, archeologists, historians and restorers, the Castle at night turns into the heart of Catania’s nightlife, standing gloriously in the middle of his square and surrounded by restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
